I've spent the last twelve years working inside some of the UK's most exciting DTC brands, from scrappy beginnings to market leadership.
If you're building an ambitious, innovative brand and could use some support from someone who's lived it at every stage of the journey, I'd love to help.
About MeBack in 2014 I joined a startup delivering fresh flowers through the letterbox. Eight years later, Bloom & Wild was the UK's largest and most loved online flower gifting brand.
I was there before anyone had even heard of letterbox flowers, shaping the product that would define the brand. I nurtured that innovative idea into the most loved flower gift in the UK, before translating everything that made it special into new products, categories, countries and retailers.
It was a unique and privileged position to be in: owning the thing the customer actually holds in their hands kept me closer to their needs than almost anyone. It also put me at the centre of the business, working across brand, operations, finance, trading and the teams that held it all together, keeping the customer happy, the numbers healthy, and the brand blooming. Now I work with first-time founders, sharing that experience to help them navigate the inevitable challenges they face as they grow.
Why work with me Experience
Over a decade spent working inside fast-growth DTC businesses means I've seen a lot, and I bring all of that insight to every new brand I work with. I also understand the reality of tight resources, changing priorities and fast decision-making — and how intense start-up life can feel. This experience informs my approach: adaptive, effective and empathetic.
Ethos
I believe that the key to building a sustainable, successful business is caring deeply about your customers, your commercials and your culture, and knowing how to meet the needs of all three, even when they're pulling in different directions. It's how I approach any challenge, meaning the results are always specific to your business, never a one-size-fits-all playbook.
Flexibility
Every founder needs something different, so I work in whichever way is most useful for you; as a coach, a thought partner, hands-on in the business or a blend of all three. I can dial up or down as your needs change, and even the lightest touch partnership can make a significant difference.
Too many ideas, not enough time
1
Working out what you're actually trying to achieve — and ruthlessly prioritising the initiatives that will genuinely get you there.
Growing faster than your structure
2
When growth outstrips the team and processes behind it, things start to break. I help you build the foundations to scale with confidence, before you feel the strain.
Finding your next growth engine.
3
When your success has been built on a handful of hero products, working out what to build or launch next to keep the momentum going.
Keeping customers coming back.
4
In DTC, retention is everything — but it's easy to get so focused on acquisition that your best customers quietly slip away. I help you understand what keeps people coming back, and make it central to how you operate.
